Aronofsky will not direct Lost episode

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Popwatch, indie filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream) will not be able to direct a LOST episode this season.

Aronofsky, who besides being hard at work on his latest science-fiction drama “The Fountain“, is expecting a child with actress Rachel Weisz.

The director has respectfully bowed out of helming one of the current season’s remaining episodes due to scheduling conflicts. “The timing didn’t work out,” Aronofsky tells us. “I’m expecting a child.”

I was really looking forward to Darren’s LOST episode, but I’m sure he was looking forward to directing it too, since he is a great fan of the show. Hopefully we will see an episode directed by Aronofsky next season.

I was really excited about him directing an episode. Requiem for a Dream and Pi are two of my favorite movies. I think he will bring a very interesting feel to whatever episode he directs.
