I agree…not Locke, Alpert, Ben, Pen’s dad, etc. I think he’s someone related the statue. I think this island’s inhabitants go WAY back in history and Jacob is from then. “I dont’ know what more disturbing, the fact that it isn’t finished or that it only has four toes” – Sayid. Jacob is not locke. its been stated several times that jacob is someone we have not met in the show yet.

Both of these issues were discussed in much more depth on that other thread. It’s interesting reading (mostly), if you have the time.

A few people (not everyone) have speculated that Jacob is Locke, a few others have speculated that Jacob is Christian (Jack’s Dad). I agree with you that he doesn’t look anything like Locke (nor Christian).
