I don’t believe I’ve read anything about the part where it’s raining and Locke says that the rain is about to end-and it does…I think that Locke has now somehow become Jacob or has been given special “powers” from him-and this is how he survived the gunshot wound too.

The name connections and biblical references are great-you all do EXCELLENT research! Far deeper then mine theories!! WOW! Can’t wait til tonights episode!

Kudos to Pippy and acquaintences for researching the significance of the names of the “newbies” (see Comment 229).
Put together with the Jacob, Benjamin, Christian, Ruth (etc),there is just way too much coincidence for all these names to not have biblical references and story lines that parallel other works of literature, classical studies and connections with events of the past.

The big question is: How will the writers tie it all together ? Of course I don’t expect that to be revealed until the Series Finale.
THAT’S gonna’ be a mind blowing episode.

I still think the numbers will come back in a significant manner (again, too many references to not be important).

As for the Oceanic 6: EVERYONE other than Jack, Kate and Hurley is pure speculation at this point.

The Mystery Person in the Coffin: Lots of discussion (even though it really belongs on the S3E23 Finale Thread). I think Michael is too obvious given the reveal of the teenage son. And (not to be racial) but, why would the Funeral Director ask Jack if he was “family or friend” ? It HAS to be someone Jack cares about and Kate practically hated, like Jules.

The “Eye inside the Cabin”: Watched it again last night and froze that frame. Looked like Hurley himself more than anyone else. However, the left eyebrow is different (thicker towards the outside) than Hurley’s. It does NOT match Lockes eyebrow. I was checking out everyone elses ‘brows after that and couldn’t find a match.

Whoever said watching S4E2 the second time was almost better than the first could be right. But then, almost every Ep is great the second, third etc. time around because there is so much more detail to soak in.

I’ll finish by repeating what I said on my very first post – before this is all over, we’ll ALL be saying THIS is the greatest TV show of all time.

Okay, I take that back about the gunshots. I hear one but see two. Really fast gun. But, check out the photos in the house, they are definitely different after Miles comes out of the room. It’s like some people were erased.

Don’t know if this means anything, but has anyone noticed in the season opener that the guy who tells Hurley that someone is staring at him hides his face very well? Why does he see the “ghost” of Charlie too???

I totally believe the “freighter tots” come from incredibly deep pockets. Be it Dharma, Hanso, Widmore, Mittelos, whatever… they are well funded. We see all four of them getting “current” OA815 discovery news – Daniel & Frank on TV, Miles on the radio, Charlotte from print media… that puts them in the same time frame – days, weeks, a month or two before arriving on-island. My big question??? When were Naomi and Abbadon having their recruiting conversation about the four? Before Flt 815?, as they were in the air?, just after the crash?,
before 815 was discovered? nce 815 was discovered? Timeline works for the four – not for Naomi & Abbadon.

#198 do you think that the drug money, Miles found in the wall, paid for the archeaology bribe. Where they working as part of the team at that early stage, to find the island. This would support the longer timeline theory…..

but then surely the team was funded by someone with deep enough pockets to pay a little bribe off.

I missed Lost and you all so much.

why would the losties pick Hurley to go on the helicopter? Never been first choice for missions before. Love Hurley. Would be devastated to think that he would turn his back on his fellow losties and leave them behind (especially Claire and baby). He and Sayid are our good guys.

Do you think the photo of Ben was taken at the airport, I vaguely recall some theories on here during a flashback that someone spotted Ben at the airport when our Losties were boarding the plane?

Why does everyone think Dharma doesn’t know where the island is located. In past seasons they were dropping food and supplies for the button pushers. Recently started reading blog maybe this topic has previously been hashed out.
