I will happily concede the Florida point and meet you in the middle. ‘Actual’ Island may not be (likely not?) there… Some sort of Passage/Anomaly/Vortice to the Island – probably located in/near Florida.

I always thought Juliet’s journey to the island was suspicious. That so-called submarine was just for show, a prop, for Ben’s people.
SIDENOTE-Ben let them believe that was how they came to the island. Maybe that’s why he let Locke blow it up, so some of his people would put Locke in a “bad light”. Just a thought.
I like your idea about there being maybe an accessible passage/anamoly/vortice to the island somewhere in Florida, but I am not sure if the actual island is there.

I assume she never left the States. Florida is known (mythically) for the ‘Fountain of Youth’. Ponce de Leon searched for it centuries ago. The ‘youth’ part of the equation may account for the ‘time differential’ between the island and the real-world.

My postulate (one of many) is that the island is genuinely in central Florida. That doesn’t account for the South Pacific disappearance of OA815… unless they slipped through an anomaly/vortice there. (Think Tunisian polar bear). Maybe the “Man from Tallahassee” did not come from as far away as we believed??

There is an episode where claire and I think Charlie are talking about the psychic and Charlie points out that it’s strange he says no one else can raise the baby and then all the sudden he gives her money and a plane ticket so another couple can take the baby and says she HAS to take this flight and cant wait till the
next flight like Claire wanted. Then Claire’s eyes got real big and she says “he knew. When he gave me the plane tickets and the money he knew we would crash here.” So we are not directly told that but thats what they want us to believe.

Yeah but we don’t know if the ‘world’ knows Claire is Aaron’s mom. She would be the other of the two survivors Jack spoke on stand about if the world knows she had a baby on island. But if Kate brought the baby home claiming to be his mother, then the world wouldn’t necessarily know about Claire.
We know that the world all knew Kate was a fugitive. I can’t imagine she just returns with a baby and says it was Claire’s wish that she adopts him. Processes would still need to be followed and I’m not sure they’d just allow her to adopt him while fighting trial.

At first he said the baby can not be raised by anyone else. Then later he said that he found a couple in LA that would be good and she had to get on flight 815. We are never told that he knew about the crash.
