Stumbled across this space, and I must say, great stuff here!

Watched the latet episode yesterday, and it got me thinking about the doctor floating ashore. Since the people replying to the morse code doesent seem to know anyting about the dead doctor..
-could it be the island is ahead of time, so that the doctor is still to be killed on the freighter?
I mean, that the things happening in the outside world has already happened in the island timeline.. or is this impossible?

If so, could theere be a connection to the others burial at sea procedure, maybe sending the body back to its normal timeline or somehing..?

Today’s NYTIMES has an excellent article about LOST and some interesting insights about the direct influence of Stephen King and Rowlings not only on D & C but on the ABC corporate decision making structure.

Agreed. I am bummed out that they didn’t comment on a (or my) theory that included the whispers. I guess I’ll just assume it was one of the theories that was too accurate to comment on.

At first I thought D&C were just going to sugar-coat the grades they were giving out so as to not reveal too much, thank goodness they shot down some of those theories. The only ones I gave higher than a C grade was the 6 and the Sickness and the Dharma Chameleon, only because it would take more to disprove than the other theories, which ask a person to make some pretty big leaps.

BTW, the only way to get “spoiled” is if you read D&C’s comments about the theories…otherwise just harmless stuff like we do here.

Exactly. That is the big question. But I think there can be more than 1 answer. Meaning, Widmore had people on the plane and so did Ben; and maybe not purposefully, maybe some were just by fate or luck ( although we all know “you have to create your own luck” ).
I think it has been pretty obvious that they were on the flight for a reason.[/quote]

Good point, with all the time travel and spying going on. It would make sense that if one side was putting folks on the plane then the other(pun intended)side would do the same. This goes with “our” theory that Libby is a Widmore plant, Locke a “Jacob” plant, etc.[/quote]

If you read the “Dharma Chameleon” fan theory, one might think that Ms. Hawking’s group (DHARMA/Widmore) did all the setting up and planting of characters.
