Octagon Global Recruiting

Just prior to the big reveal last night, a commercial aired for Octagon Global Recruiting – http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com (you can view the commercial and register via email). The dates for this DHARMA job fair align with that of Comic Con in San Diego this year – perhaps where they will announce the new ARG leading into Season 5.

I posted this last night over on The Fuselage discussion thread for Octagon Global Recruiting … http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showpost.php?p=1911604&postcount=7

Here are the occupations listed on the intro video on http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/

    Microbiologists
    Psychologists
    Parapsychologists
    Zoologists
    Physicists
    Mathematicians
    Botanical Researchers
    Engineers
    Builders
    Drivers
    Health Care Workers
    Communication Specialists
    Neuroscientists
    Janitors
    Engineers
    Biologists
    Astrophysicists
    Ex-Military
    Electricians
    Vets
    IVF Consultants
    Teachers
    Architects
    Ichthyologists
    Transport Mechanics
    Immunologists
    Nurses
    Illustrators
    Auditors
    Minibus Drivers
    Recycling Coordinators
    Aeronautical Engineers
    Horticulturalists
    Dentists

Taking the first letter of each occupation starting from the bottom and going up, gives:

    DHARMA INITIATIVE EABEJNCHDBEBMPZPPM

Not sure this is quite right, but here is one attempt to decode the last part:

    Vigenére Autokey : http://rumkin.com/tools/cipher/vigenere-autokey.php
    Decrypt
    passphrase : dharma initiative
    encrypted message : EABEJNCHDBEBMPZPPM
    decrypted message : BTBNXNUUVIWBTHELOT

Could “WB THE LOT” be some kind of clue for a location at Comic-Con?

  4. Bobbi says:

I find it very strange that they only list ‘vets’ instead of the full title.

Wow…nice research. I wonder what it all means. I don’t think that it is coincidence that the last few spell out Dharma Initiative.

  6. Dave(y) says:

Hey I just went to ComicCon website and wanted to check out the exibitors. I find it interesting that Walt Disney Entertainment has a booth there. When you go to the terms and conditions on Octagon…site it is all done by Disney. Could this be something to check out???

  7. Tony says:

The only reason that it says disney is because abc is an affiliate of disney but it wouldnt be a bad place to start

  8. Bobbi says:

anyone gotten any response emails yet? anything at all?

If you take the decrypted message and get rid of some possible junk repeated letters (B,N,U)
you get…T X VI W THE LOT…which could stand for Thursday 10-6 W THE LOT.
Considering Comic Con is open 10-7 on Thursday July 24th..in San Diego…..

  10. tjbsd25 says:

If Agent459 is correct about their decrypted message: If you take the decrypted message and get rid of some possible junk repeated letters (B,N,U)
Considering Comic Con is open 10-7 on Thursday July 24th..in San Diego…..

If this is a correct decryption than it could actually be in reference to the “W” Hotel which is in downtown San Diego and hosts numerous events and parties when special events are in town. Just a thought.

  11. Steve says:

They sent out an email today. If you click the “Can’t see this message” link, you go to http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/site/emails/0618.html. In the meta tag of this page, you find the following:
    “meta name=”Alert” content=”March has 32 days” /”

  12. Sawyer's Evil Twin says:

    Who is Hans Van Eeghen?

  13. Dan says:

If you reply to the email, you get an auto reply from Octagon, as well as an out of office reply from Hans Van Eeghen. Feel free to rip those apart, too. :-)

  14. cj says:

    the response came today!

  15. Jayden says:

  16. Jo says:

If you go to Comic Con and look at the list of exibitors there is one listed for Dharma Initiative Booth 3529.

  17. Richard V. Cogan says:

Has anyone noticed that the Dharma Initiative Logo, shown on Lostpedia, has triangular shaped pieces without the points of the triangle incorporated into the logo, and there are slots in the pieces which when matched to the corresponding piece in the logo would be able to fit together to make 4 standing bases? Don’t know what it means, but I think it must mean something.
