La Vie, I am sorry…I can no longer suppress my intelligence to eat this stuff up…I will always be grateful for the great moments and character interactions that took place in various seasons…I will always be in awe of Micheal Emerson , Terry O’quinn’s, and others’ masterful acting throughout, but I no longer have faith in Darlton…They use the mythology of the show to hide behind their slick writing tactics…It’s been clear to me for a while but I stuck with it because I had faith in the fact that this was the ep they said they couldn’t wait to write (And obviously to see how it turned out). I can’t believe an unexplainable cave-light that’s in all of us was their brilliant plan all along (Even if that's not what it is, to present it like this is so B-movie)…Jacob should be listening to Hurley not the other way around, this episode exposes him big time as a phony of epic proportions…Only thing is I hope now that the Smoke Monster wins, cause God he deserves it…3 hours are left that’s for sure...More than enough time to retcon so much more…My faith has been shaken, but I’m not ready to turn to the dark-side, hater-site side, I just had to be true to myself and the true LOST fans that in a lot of ways we’ve been had…I don't know what else to say...
I got to agree with you.. as of now. then again they've pulled off some amazing stuff in other seasons so I'm holding out hope but preparing for dissapointment

Just wanted to add (In reference to the age of those bodies when Jack found them in the cave)that the time elements didn't preserve Yemi's or Ben's dad's remains... SO that scene was retconned...
I agree. Jack had said 40-50 years based on the condition of the clothes. There is absolutely NO way there would be any cloth fibers left after one to two thousand YEARS- Or a bag with stones. Also, in 2007 interview L&C claimed that there were easter eggs in the Not in Portland episode to who Adam and Eve were. Considering that we didn't even know Jacob at that time, much less MIB or crazy mom, I just don't see it. I think that they might have originally planned on A&E to be two of the losties, but just ended up changing it.
Jack technically said AT LEAST 50 years old. And he is NO forensic scientist or carbon dating expert.

LOST is what it is a character intensive study on human behavior. Redemption and the grey area between good and evil. Focus on the elements that kept you watching for 6 seasons.

In my opinion the whole MIB/Jacob back-story was done brilliantly and here is why; you get a sense of what the island mythology IS without having it fully explained. Who is to say that EVERYTHING fMOM said was a lie? Who is to say (and probably is true) there were not 500/multiple versions of fMOMS's and Jacobs?

There are still over three hours left in the show. Everything can change so let us stop wining sit back and enjoy this (once in a lifetime?) tv/entertainment event.

I don't post much, but I just watched the ep yesterday and had to get this out my system...I tried to have faith in this show. Even when I saw some of it ripping apart before me I still had some faith that they would pull it off, but after this episode my faith is finally broken.

“The light is in all of us” or whatever Juno’s mom said has got to be a joke….I waited 6 years to find out the heart of the island is a shining light that’s inside all of us? Am I watching Xena Warrior Princess? The whole Adam and Eve scene was retconned aswell…Jack said those bodies had been there for 40-50 years in Season 1, and even if that wasn’t true and you wanna say the time elements of the island preserved them that’s still an extra 2, 3, 4, 500 years they had to decompose. All we found out in this episode is that Zac Efron Jr. a.k.a. Kid Smokey was used and abused by his idiot Mom and his even more pathetic and juvenile brother Jacob. Why would anyone ever follow this absolute goober? More questions from characters we don’t even know. 2 episodes left and Jacob//Smokey know no more than the general audience. There is no redemption left. I’ll watch the rest obviously since it just has to be done, but I’m bitterly disappointed with what was shown on the episode Darlton has been clamoring over for the last 5 years that they’ve been waiting to write...This would be the episode that proved they planned everything. Wow, just wow…I’m sorry LOST fans. This is coming from a friend and devote follower of this show for 6 years, we have been TROLLED! Yeah Supermom killed a whole village of warriors too. Sighs...
